Rigorous numerics for dissipative PDEs

I will talk about the method of self-consistent bounds (a dynamical generalization of the Cesari method) for dissipative PDEs. It is a mixture of topological methods and rigorous numerics. Our approach will be illustrated by computer assisted proof of the existence of multiple fixed points and periodic orbit for Kuramoto-Sivashinski PDE.
