A code has been developed for the solution of the radiative transfer problem for moving media in three space dimensions and under conditions of non local thermodynamic equilibrium. The problem can be split into two parts: a frequency decoupled, time independent transfer part, which is a Boltzmann equation for photons, and a nonlinear system of ordinary differential or algebraic equations, which account for the frequency coupling and determine the values of the parameters in the transfer equation. The code is used in astrophysics, at present in particular for the investigation of colliding winds in binary star systems. First results obtained, including several chemical species, look promising. Currently the code is improved to attack larger optical depths.
